Dorm/accommodation

Various types of dorms are prepared to meet your objective and period of study. IAY assists students so that even those students who don’t have guarantees within Japan can find their housing smoothly. Fees may be subject to change without notice.

Student Dorm

Breakfast and dinner are provided (Except Sundays, fifth Saturdays, and national holidays). Japanese students are also living in the dorm, so you can communicate with them.Gender-segregated dorms are also avalable.

Short-stay system (In the case of 30-90 days contract)

Shared house

Foreigners, as well as Japanese including working people are living here, so you can communicate with various people.

Guest house

A student discount is offered. Foreigners, as well as Japanese including working people are living here, so you can communicate with various people. The manager, who can speak English, provides full-time service.

Homestay

You can stay with a Japanese family. Breakfast and dinner are provided. 2,600 yen per night. (Only those who are 18 years of age or older can apply.) This service is for short-stay students and we may not be able to satisfy your request due to a limited number of host families.

Lease of apartment (Only pre-college course students)

IAY and a real-estate company will support students who seek an apartment. When you visit a real-estate company, staff from IAY will accompany you as an interpreter, so you don’t have to worry about a language problem and procedures for a rental contract. Since a guarantor is needed when signing a rental contract in Japan, IAY can serve as the guarantor.
The rent is 30,000 – 40,000 yen per month. Some students are living together. Most students are living within a 15-minute commuting distance by bicycle. We will try our best to find you a safe and comfortable room. In addition, after you come to Japan, our staff can go shopping with you so that you can buy daily commodities at a low price. When you don’t know how to pay utilities cost, please ask IAY staff at any time.
